Q: 2008 Honda Accord EX V6 with Leather or 2008 Toyota Camry XLE?
Hi, We are getting a new car soon, mainly because or old car keeps breaking down. I guess that's what we get for buying used. Well our family can't decide whether to get the Accord EX V6 or the Camry XLE. I personally like the styling of the Accord, but it's really expensive. What do you think?

A: Well there is also a Toyota Camry was or still is America's best selling car! So if you want that reliability and America's best Choice go for the Camry! But it really depends on what you want! But if your budge is shorter go for the Camry! But it is all on the Specs you want or need!

Q: factory to dealer incentive for 2008 Honda Accord EX-L V6 automatic transmission?
Any car dealers out here who can tell me this number? I am trying to make a fair offer to the dealer and get a good deal.

A: the 2008 accord has no manufacturer to dealer incentive. the car is in such high demand, especially the coupe, that they have 1.5k premium on the sticker price, non-negotiable. just low A.P.R. for a short term

Q: How much will be the estimated price of 2008 Honda Accord EX L V6 W/ GPS in *2009*?
I wanna buy this car SO BADLY. But I can't afford it at the moment so I will just wait till the next year. Also, is this true that Diesel Honda Acoord is coming out next year. If it is, then when will it be released?

A: You may not be getting real prices from dealers you are talking to. We are selling ours WELL Below MSRP...., and if you want email me exactly what you are looking for and Ill send you some pricing benchmarks to use in your negotiations.... I do it all the time, and most people I help find that what they thought was a "Best Price" was actually 2-4k OVER what they actually got it for! And the Diesel will not acutally hit our shores until the 2009 YM or sometime in 2010 at the earliest....(The Diesel Acura's are coming first)

Q: My 2008 Honda Accord EX was broken into (window broken) and alarm didnt go off. Should it have gone off?
The Accord Coupe EX has the standard "Security System" I called the dealership, but they refuse to help. Honda is "looking into it" Any suggestions on how i should go about this?

A: This alarm will not go off unless the door is opened without being unlocked with the remote or the key in the lock. If the window is broken and they climb in instead of opening the door it will not go off. If they break the window then open the door it will go off. If you had the LX you get the system immobilizer but not the door sensors to alarm when opened. You would need an after-market alarm that has the sensor for the windows.

Q: is there a lighter coming with the power outlet for honda accord 2008 sedan EX?
does it originally come with the car when you buy a new one? or is it an optional accessory? I think someone at the dealer took it while my car was staying there for three weeks.. There's nothing in the power outlet. I hadn't paid attention to it before fixing my car there.. anyway the car is new accord 2008 EX. Thanks for helping.

A: None of the Honda's come standard with a lighter, only the power outlets. The lighter is an accessory from the parts department.

Q: Honda Accord EX 2008?
If you have a 2008 honda accord sedan, can you please tell me some of the pros and cons of the car. Ex. the way it drives and accessories inside the car. Ipod plug-in....thanks a lot.

A: Hey, I just bought a 08 coupe v6. It's a really nice car, but since you're spending this much money, why don't you look into getting a EXL? this way you won't regret it down the line and plus the resale value is higher if you get the leather seats:). Keep one thing in mind, this is not gas efficient! I originally ordered a V4 but than after doing some research i found out the gas mileage for both is about the same and it's no where near the sticker gas mileage. Overall it's a nice car, the ipod plug in is standard in all 08 accords. I think you're better off getting a v6 because in the v6 you're able to turn off 2 or 3 cylinder so you're saving gas:) I'm just waiting for my car to arrive. It's hard to find a white coupe v6:( i should be getting it next week.

Q: How do I disarm the seat belt reminder sensor in a 2008 Honda Accord EX-L vehicle?

A: I don't know about the newer 2008 Honda models, but on my fathers Chrysler Town and Country minivan can turn it off. If you look through your owners manual it should tell you. On the Chrysler, it said to turn the ignition on how many clicks. LOOK through your owners manual, I'm positive that Honda with have the disarm feature. Look in the table of contents, seatbelt/safety or something. I would leave it on because it helps me to remember that I don't wont to die.

Q: 2008 Honda Accord Ex, Sedan: Ipod car integration question:?
I have a new 2008 Accord, Ex, sedan. I've never owned an Ipod before and thinking of getting one soon. My question is does the dashboard buttons (for example: ) allow you to change folders in your Ipod without having to touch the ipod? I'm thinking of getting an ipod nano but won't if I can't control the ipod features with the dashboard buttons (such as skipping to the next song or more importantly skipping to a different folder within the ipod). Thanks for your responses!

A: No the folder buttons are only used for MP3 CD's. There aren't any buttons on the dash for an ipod or any other mp3 player. Everyone says oh well it's ipod capable... Well yes it is. But only through auxiliary. You still have to control your ipod or any other mp3 player through the mp3 player. You can make mp3 cd's and insert them into the cd player. you can fit up to 120 songs if its in mp3 format. And you can create subfolders. That'll be the only use for those buttons. Hope this helps.

Q: Installing sub in 2008 Honda Accord EX 7 Speaker System?
Trying to decide what the best method for installing an aftermarket amp/sub in my Accord coupe with 7 speaker Premium Audio. Right now it has the small punch sub in the back deck and it isn't getting the job done, but I'm curious if there's a way to maintain the Sub volume control from the factory head unit, or if I should just take the hot wires from the factory sub and run them into the new amp? Thanks for the help.

A: If you go up to a audio installation shape they should sell a converter that wires up to your factory stereo

Q: Value of Honda Accord EX-L 2008?
I'm looking for a 2008 Honda Accord EX-L. I am wondering how much I should pay for this vehicle? Or offer for the car? I don't want to get screwed.

Q: 2008 Honda Accord EX-L (2.5L) on Clearance ?
How much do I need to pay more from base invoice price for 2008 Honda Accord EX-L (2.5L) on Clearance ?

A: You usually don't go about asking how much more you'll pay above the base invoice, but how much off the MSRP. It's possible to get $2,000 off, but the Accords are still selling very well (especially the 4 Cyl.) so you'd have to go to your local Honda dealer and negotiate.

Q: Reasonable 2008 Honda Accord EX-L V6 deal?
The invoice for this car is $26,086, MSRP is $28,730, true market value at edmunds.com is $26,933. The Honda dealer here gave a price quote of ~$27,150. How much should I offer? I hear a fair dealer profit is 5% of total cost the dealer paid to the factory. total cost = invoice - holdback charge (which is 2% of MSRP) - factory to dealer incentive The dealer refused to reveal the invoice, so I have no hope he will reveal the factory to dealer incentive. What is the amount of the factory to dealer incentive for the 2008 Honda Accord EX-L V6? Honda dealers please answer . How much would you suggest will be a good offer to make to the dealer, especially since this is the end of the 2008 year and the 2009s will be coming in a month or two?

A: To help qualify this, I'm Internet Manager at one of the top 10 Honda Dealers in the country, so I hope this helps! Bearing in mind that Honda Accords are definately in increased demand right now, they are -still- a mass market car of which there is absolutely no shortage of (unless your talking about a v6 loaded COUPE, which are in slightly shorter supply). This said, as long as your looking at the 4 door Sedan, you should absolutely be able to purchase this car for invoice, plus fees (tax, title license, dealer Doc). You will not find a deal vastly below this price as there is no dealer incentive money or rebates on the Accords to allow for this (and in my 6+ years with Honda, there has never been an incentive like this on Accord). This means that if you wait until the 2009's come out, what you will find is 2008's are still selling for invoice, and dealers are simply holding onto higher profit margins on the 2009's until the 08's are cleared out (and they will clear out quickly, usually within a month of the new year model's arrival). You could absolutely wait on a 2009, but by the time 2009's are going for flat invoice, 2010's will be right around the corner :). If you live in a smaller town with only one Honda dealer who will not offer you the Accord at invoice, I suggest you e-mail a few internet departments in the nearest big city (I'm not saying to buy the car in this big city, bear with me here). You will easily find a deal at invoice (or at best in a VERY competitive market, possibly 100-200$ below, but don't expect this). Once you have this offer from the bigger city, take it down to your local Honda dealer. BE FRIENDLY and simply explain you would rather do business locally, and as such are willing to pay slightly more (for example, the 100$'s in gas money you'd otherwise spend to drive to the big city to purchase this car). They will understand that you will easily drive 200-300 miles to save 1000$, and should bring their price down to a comparable invoice number. If you go into the dealership and get aggressive/angry/demanding, they will probably tell you to go drive to that far away dealership. On a invoice deal that makes the small town dealership virtually no profit, often times a happy friendly customer and a good survey are worth more then a "unit count". I wish you a good experience buying this Honda, hope this helps!

Q: 2008 Honda Accord EX-L (Red/Ivory) V4 Automatic Transmission?
Hi, I need your help please. I never purchased car before and I like to buy 2008 Honda Accord EX-L 4 Door Sedan Automatic Trans. My zip code is 60139, IL. One of the Honda dealer offered me $23,028 plus destination + tax + fees. Do you think this is good offer? Or this costs more? Also, car comes with bumber-to-bumper 3 years / 36000 warranty and 5 years / 60,000 powertrain warranty. Do you recommend that I should buy additional warrranty? What about GAP insurance costs $500 for 5 years? I really appreciate it. Thank you. Samir

A: That sounds about right. The sedan is cheaper than the coupe. Mine came out to 30K for a coupe. You'll be looking at about 27 or 28k with everything included. But well worth it. And you dont need any of the extra coverages. It's a HONDA!

Q: Does anyone have information about the 2008 Honda Accord EX-LN?
I have checked every car in my price range ($28K and down) and have not found one I loved. The Accura TL ('06 is just under 28k atm) is almost perfect, except it doesn't play MP3s. Before I buy the '06 TL, I'm curious if anyone has any info about the '08 Accord? Specifically the interior (navigation / stereo system, and pictures would be perfect)? Brighton - I was comparing the 06/07 Accura TL to the '08 Accord. I currently own an '03 Accord (same identical as the '07). What I am interested in is the stereo and Navigation system inside of the '08 Accord compared to that of the '06 Accura TL - I love the setup, but with the Accura not playing mp3s (and there being absolutely nowhere in the dash to put an aftermarket mp3 player) I'd prefer the '08 Accord if it's the same setup...

A: Here's a few pictures: http://forums.thecarlounge.com/zerothread?id=3385512 http://www.hobidas.com/common/aimg/000071643.jpg Although not much on the interior, But thereis one pic of the front interior and a load from the outside. Personally I would say get the 06/07 model, For a start you will save shed loads of money (You will lose loads as you drive the new one home) I think the current shape is a million times nicer then the new one in 2008. If the audio is a major thing, you can buy a after market navigation / sterio system..

Q: Headlight Specs on 2008 Honda Accord EX-L?
I have a 2008 Honda Accord EX-L and was looking to change the headlights on it. I wanted some info on the watts and Kelvin of the stock Accord headlights - if you guys have it or know where to find it please help, my dealer doesn't know and it's not on the Honda website. I would like to keep the same amount of watts, since I don't want to change the car's wiring and Accords have ELD which determines how much power will go to the headlights, not having the right wattage might mess with it. Also, does Kelvin just determine temperature? I don't know anything about this stuff, just want to mod my car a little.

A: Actually, Kelvin measures the color temperature of light. The higher color temp you get the bluer the light, but less light output you will have. The lower you go in the Kelvin scale the more yellow you will get. IIRC, OEM bulbs are 3700K while most OEM HID setups are about 5000 or so. With that being said if you're looking for better light output for same wattage. Since you didn't specify what model Accord you have, 2 door uses the H11 bulb while the 4 door sedan uses the 9006 bulb, I'll just guess. For H11, I would suggest: http://www.powerbulbs.com/product_detail.asp?prod=113 or Silverstar Ultras. For 9006, I would use HIR bulbs, very pricey but worth every penny. http://www.finemotoring.com/ I'm in no way associated with the above mentioned site, I just like their product.
