Q: Best way to modify 2008 Honda Accord Coupe 4cyl to gain most horsepower?
Im looking in to uprading my 2008 Honda Accord Coupe 4cyl because i was wanting some more horsepower. Any suggestions?
A: It depends how much work you wanna put into it. At the least, you can put a cold air intake and an exhaust system. If you wanna go all out, you can install headers and a turbocharger or something.
Q: when do I need to take my Honda Accord 2008 to regular service?
I have a Honda Accord 2008 and I purchased exactly 1 year ago and I am rountinly changing the oil (service). when do i need to take the car to regular service? is there yearly maintance service required? or certain mileage service?
A: i used to work in a service department for hondas.. and hondas have oil changes done at 3,500 miles or 6 months and then they have B service which is done every 7,500 miles i belive and then theres the c service which is done every 15,000 and theres the 30,000 mile service which is a tune up and then theres 60,000 another tune up and 90,000 which is the big tune up. the b and c service arent as important as the tune ups.. but you could always call the honda service department and ask them.. how many miles does your car have?
Q: if i put winter tires on a 2008 honda accord and not replace the tpms will the vsa still work?
I want to put winter tires on my 2008 accord but by the time I buy tires, rims and new tpms it's getting expensive. I was thinking of not installing tpms but was told the vsa doesn't work -- so now i may simply put the winter tires on the present rim
A: is you mean vehicle stability assist, yes it will still work. the only thing that won't work is your tire preassure monitoring system. and the light might just stay on.
Q: Should I get a 2008 Honda Accord Coupe or 2008 Infiniti G35X?
I currently own a 2003 Infiniti G35 but I'm getting rid of it for something newer. I've had a lot of maintenance issues with this car and the maintenace costs is really high but I love it nonetheless. I love the 08-09 Honda Accord coupe and I wanted to either get that or the 08 G35X. Which one in your opinion would you recommend?
A: I'd definitely go with the G. I love (and drive) an accord, and absolutely love it, but there is no comparison. I think you'd be awfully disappointed with the Accord, after having a G. Accords are nice all around performers, and their reliability is excellent. They just can't compare to the luxurious Gs. I'm actually surprised you've had so many maintenance issues with yours, as they are reknowned for their reliability. Of all cars consumer reports tests, the G35 is at the top. It has top notch performance, comfort, and predicted reliability. I'd buy another with confidence. Here's an excerpt from CRs recent review.
"The G is quick, sporty, and pleasant. For 2009, all trims get the 3.7-liter V6 and seven-speed automatic that improves fuel economy. The car is blistering quick, yet returns 21 mpg overall. While the V6 is a bit loud at high revs, the car is now quieter at highway speeds. Handling remains agile and predictable, with a taut yet compliant ride. The interior has high-quality materials and easy-to-use controls. But the cabin is a bit snug and the trunk is small. AWD is optional on both the coupe and sedan. A convertible version will be offered shortly".
Buy another G with confidence, and enjoy!!
Q: Cold Air Intake and Exhaust in my 2008 Honda Accord Coupe?
I have a 2008 Honda Accord Coupe that is a 4 cyl. and i wanted a little more horsepower and i was wondering if i should do this and if anyone had tried this and if it was worth the 500$. Also would it void my warrenty from honda.
A: yea it will add horsepower but you can get it done for less than 500 bucks and it shouldnt void your warranty as long as a professional mechanic does it in his shop
Q: at what price should i start negotiating this 2008 Honda Accord?
its a 2008 honda Accord EX senden with 28476 Mi. thanks ...

Q: Anybody else have to wait for a 2008 Honda Accord Coupe?
I went to a dealership in NY to buy my 08 Accord Coupe Ex-L V6 in blue. The dealer could not get one and now I have no idea how long i'll be waiting until they finally do. Anybody else in the NY area have to wait to get there hands on an Accord?
A: I'm not from the NY area, but my Honda dealer said that the Accord coupe is a limited production vehicle, and the ratio of coupes to sedans produced is 1 out of 20 ( I see way more sedans than coupes driving by me)!! My jaw dropped to the floor when I heard that, so your situation makes sense. I guess it will be even more special when you do get it, since it's a rare, hot commodity.
Q: Does the 2008 Honda Accord warranty require arbitration before I can file a lawsuit?
Ready to file a lemon law claim, for 4 times in for the same defect. I was told there is a requirement for arbitration on some vehicles.
A: Here's the text from the 2008 Warranty Booklet. It is unfiltered and has all the posturing statements from Honda about how much they care about your satisfaction.
the short answer to your question is that Honda does not require you to go to arbitration by your state may. If you feel you have a good case, file with the BBB Autoline as detailed below while you go about finding out about your state requirements. If arbirtation is not required then you can go direct to court and skip it. If the arbitration is required at least you've started the clock running while you are doing your research.

Your complete satisfaction with your Honda automobile is our main goal. All personnel at Honda automobile dealerships are thoroughly trained to provide the best service for your vehicle. If you are not satisfied with any maintenance or repair work done by the dealership, follow these three steps:
Step 1 - Talk over your concerns with the dealership's management, such as the Service Manager or General Manager. In most cases, a satisfactory solution is found at this step.
Step 2 - We recognize that, on some occasions, a customer will not be totally satisfied with a dealer's decision or actions in Step 1. If this
is the case, you should call or write Honda Automobile Customer
Service. The address and telephone number are on the inside front cover (1-800-999-1009)
Please provide the following information:
• Year, model, and Vehicle Identification Number of your
vehicle, and its current mileage.
• The name of the dealer who sold you the vehicle.
• The name of the dealer who services your vehicle.
• Date, mileage, and reason for each visit to a Honda dealership.
• Any non-Honda dealership repair service for the problem(s).
• Your daytime and evening telephone numbers.
The staff of Automobile Customer Service is interested in working with
you and the dealership to find a satisfactory solution
Step 3 - If you disagree with the decision reached by the staff of
Honda Automobile Customer Service, you may request to have
your case reviewed in an independent forum run by the
Council of Better Business Bureaus (BBB). This program is called "BBB AUTO LINE." You may file a claim at any time by calling the Better Business Bureau, toll-free, at (800) 955-5100. Your call will be automatically directed to the BBB in your area.
You may also write to:
BBB AUTO LINE
Council of Better Business Bureaus

Arlington, VA 22203-1804
BBB AUTO LINE's purpose is to resolve disputes between vehicle
manufacturers and their customers. BBB AUTO LINE's decision makers are impartial third parties who will listen to both the customer and the manufacturer and decide what can be done to resolve the disagreement. The BBB AUTO LINE's decision is not binding on you unless you agree to accept it. If you accept the decision, Honda will abide by it. Generally, disputes submitted to BBB AUTO LINE are resolved within 40 days (47 days if you have not first contacted Honda about your complaint).
Honda offers you the opportunity to mediate and arbitrate a disagreement through BBB AUTO LINE because we want you to feel that you have been treated fairly. Eligibility islimited by your vehicle's age, mileage, and other factors. In order to file a claim, you need to provide
your name and address, the Vehicle
Identification Number of your
vehicle, and a brief statement
outlining the disagreement.
Initially, BBB may try to resolve the disagreement through mediation. If
this is not successful, your complaint will be reviewed by an impartial,
volunteer arbitrator. You may present the facts of your case to the
arbitrator at an informal meeting.
We encourage you to use this program before, or instead of, going
to court. It is informal, free of charge to you, and generally resolves
problems much faster than the court system. Lawyers are usually not
involved in the resolution of claims through the BBB, although you may
obtain one at your own expense if you choose.
If you want to go to court, we do not require you to first file a claim with
BBB AUTO LINE. Please note that laws in some states may require that you file a claim with BBB AUTO LINE before you can proceed to a
state-operated dispute resolution process or the court system. If you
do not accept the decision of BBB AUTO LINE, you can still go to
court.
Lemon Laws
Many states have enacted what are commonly referred to as “Lemon
Laws.” Although the details of these laws vary from state to state, their
main purpose is to assure you certain rights if you have problems with
your new vehicle. In general terms, these laws usually say that if your
vehicle has a problem that cannot be repaired in several attempts, or has a series of problems that keep it out of service for an extended period, you may qualify for relief under the lemon law in your state.

Q: What do you think of the 2008 honda accord v6 automatic engine?
I really like the coupe............
do you think that the variable engine (it uses 3, 4, or 6 cylinders depending on workload) will be as reliable in its first year of production or should we all wait until the 2009 models come out.
A: Not sure anyone's answered your specific question yet...and it's a good question...time will tell if there's a reliability issue.
BTW, we drive 2 Honda & 1 Acura product...big Honda fans here; Honda builds robust engines.
It's hard to say how this 'variable cylinder management' (aka VCM) engine will work out compared to their norm of full-time-firing cylinder designs. Honda did offer a VCM engine (3.0L V6, J30) in their last Accord...the hybrid model. I haven't heard of any problems with that engine. You might do some Internet searches to see if that's true. However, VCM does add mechanical complexity on top of the VTEC design.
RE VCM, I do know that Cadillac had problems with their first VCM design years ago, but I'm assuming newer versions are OK.
You may be aware that the '08 Accord's V6 manual transmission version does not use VCM.
Q: What size rims would look good on a 2008 honda accord?
Would 20" look good or is that too big? or maybe a bigger size in the rears than the front?
A: go with 20s. I have a 2006 civic, and i had 18s on there...looked good...but then i decided to move up to 20s and wow...it was the best choice i made on my car.
if you want to compare how the 2 different sizes look...check out my myspace. i have pics of my car with the 18s, and then pics of my car with the new 20s. it might help you make your decision

Q: What do you think of the new 2008 Honda Accord 6 cycliner?
Have any of you had it or driven it? Just want some feedback because I may buy it.
A: Its smooth and fast on the road. You will be up to 60 mph before you know it. The 4 cyl is also good. You may check with your insurance company like I did before you buy. The Honda Accord along with the Civic is on the top 10 list for theft. You may want to drive the new Accord during a sunny day. The radio control area lights are hard to see during the day time. LED not bright enough, just like the old CRV model. I've own 2003 Accord, have a 2006 Civic and a 2006 CRV for the wife. Very reliable. One more thing. Honda has switched the tire life to 2 years or 25,000 miles. I complained to my Honda dealer and the reply is Honda is trying to contain the costs of their vehicles. My CRV tires cost about $330.00 in Dec. 2007 and my Civic is 3,000 miles away from 25.000 miles and they are getting low on tread. You may check the rating on the Accords tire, Plan on spending over $300.00 for new tires. FYI,
Q: Is it Normal for a 2008 Honda Accord V6 to use 1 quart of oil every 1000 miles?
The dealership tells me that is within normal limits, but for a brand new car it seems to me that is quite excessive.
A: I wouldnt think a new car would use /burn /lose any oil at all but I can see where michael is going with the rings seating etc...... if the vehicle is BRAND new then give it till about 3000 miles or so. After that there is absolutely no reason for the engine to be using or leaking oil like that. Im asuming you have checked your driveway for oil drips? If this continues you need to insist that the dealer do something. Maybe mention the Magnuson moss act and knowledge of said law (read up on it) and see what they have to say.
Q: How can i make my 2008 honda accord sound deeper and louder?
I want it to sound better but not too loud...and not high pitch either.
A: Well, 1st of all, Palmz is wrong, whether or not it is a v-6 or a 4 cylinder, you can still improve the exhuast note, without having a "ricer" sounding exhuast, or having something that is so loud that it would drive you crazy on the highway.
Also, how does he know if your car is a 4 cylinder or a V-6? The Accord sedan was available with both engines.
But, to get to your question, the basic I/H/E upgrade will help out a lot (intake, headers, exhuast). I would recommend the K&N typhoon intake, it seems to work the best in my experience. As far as headers and cat-back exhuasts go, you should really talk to someone from an exhuast shop to find out which aftermarket setup will give you the exhuast note that you like, without the overbearing noise that you are not looking for.
Good Luck
Q: How do you level a eddie bauer car seat in a 2008 Honda Accord?
Because my seat has a slant to it, I can't level out the seat
A: Infant seat or rear facing convertible seat?
The infant seat will have an adjustment on the base that should be tried first - it raises up the seat a bit to give it more recline.
Beyond that - you're going to get pool noodles (the kinds the kids swim with). You put them in the bite of the seat - here's a thread that shows some photos: http://www.car-seat.org/showthread.php?t=34317
If it is a convertible seat - pull out the manual and find out how to take the base off the seat - there is a removable base on that convertible - you pull a metal pin out and it comes off - it almost always makes a better install without it on.
Also- make an appointment with a car seat technician - www.seatcheck.org.
Q: Which is better among 2008 honda accord sedan and crv?
I like to buy a new car. In both the models what color is more prefarable except white and silver. What prices are resonable for both LX models.
A: Accord. The insurance will also be lower.
