Q: How do you set the time on a 2004 Honda Accord?
I purchased a 2004 Honda Accord from Carmax, but it didn't come with an owner's manual (strange, i know). Ever since the daylight savings time-switch, my clock has been off an hour. I suppose I could just press every combination of buttons on the radio until I figure it out, but I thought I'd let somebody speed things up for me, and show off their knowledge, haha. Thanks.

A: here's the instructions from the owners manual to set the clock on your 2004 accord . with the key in the ignition and turned ON but the radio turned OFF, Press and hold the SOUND button. until you hear a beep. The displayed time begins to blink Change the hours by pressing the H (radio station Preset button 4) side of the bar until the numbers advance to the desired time. Change the minutes by pressing the M (radio station Preset 5) side of the bar until the numbers advance to the desired time. When you are finished, press the SOUND button again to set the time. hope that helps

Q: How do I get the aux input to work on 2004 honda accord?
I have an ipod hookup on my 2004 Honda Accord, but it won't give an aux input option to play it. How do I get it to play? it's already hooked up, i got it to play once before, but it just won't play through the stereo. i just can't get the aux mode to activate or w/e i don't see a CD-C option either.

A: The '04 Accord does not have an AUX input. What kind of ipod hookup do you have...male to male cord?? Your options are limited for playing an ipod. You can either get an FM transmitter, or install an aftermarket interface http://www.crutchfield.com/p_581PA15HON/USA-Spec-iPod-Interface.html?search=honda+usa+spec&ssi=0 . I installed the interface from the link on my '03 Accord, best thing I've ever done!! Edit: You should be able to engage it by pushing your CD/AUX button, making it play in CD-C.

Q: how do i replace the air filter in my 2004 honda accord?
i need directions as to how to locate and replace the air filter in my 2004 honda accord. thanks

A: Obtain a new one from a car parts outlet. If you give them the relevant details of your car.Make ,year, model, engine size, they will hook you up with a new one.On the top of your engine is a big round pan with screws or clips that hold down the cover.remove these.Lift off the cover. You should now see the filter.Take note of its position as some only go on one way. now proceed to remove the filter.Fit the new one place the cover back and fasten down the screws or clips. Job done.

Q: Is there any way to turn off the disclaimer screen 2004 Honda Accord?
I just got a 2004 Accord with navigation system. it's really annoying that you have to go through the disclaimer screen every time you start the car, just to use the navi system. Pushing the "OK" button is getting old. Is there any way to turn off the disclaimer screen? Thanks

A: No. This is strictly intentional and there is no way around it. It is the ONLY way for manufacturers to "walk away" from any legal claims related to accidents that blame use of navi-systems while driving. Thing is, YOU might waive the claims, but the car may have more than one owner during its life. (reason why there isn't "do not show again" feature) No sane car maker would give you ANY option to deactivated this feature.

Q: How do I get the "maintenance required" light to go off on my 2004 Honda Accord?
Maintenance Required light on 2004 Honda Accord I am not talking about the check engine light, this is a different light that flashes briefly when I crank up my car.

A: Take your car into a Honda dealer for the oil change, they'll reset the light for you and clean out your ash tray. You should let them change the oil, they have the best stuff for your engine. It doesn't cost that much more than doing it yourself or some other place and it really makes the car that much more reliable.

Q: I lost my honda accord 2004 key. How much does it cost to make another copy?
Is it very expensive like over $100 to make another copy of Honda Accord 2004?? :(. I was just out of luck these days huhu.

A: ................ I can't believe you'd ask online. Here's my answer: 1. Pick up a phone book (or since you like to do things online, search for a local Honda dealership) 2. Grab your phone and call. Ask for the parts department. 3. Ask a real live human being how much a replacement key will be. Have your VIN number handy. I'd call a few different dealerships to get price comparisons.

Q: Should I still keep the full coverage on my 2004 Honda accord?
My honda is now five years old, is it still worth it to keep the full coverage or should I just lower it to liability? I know Honda's do not loose their value as other cars but I feel Im giving my money away and if something were to happen today, i wont get the full price.

A: yeah but if you get hit by someone w/out insurance you won't get any money at least with full coverage if your car gets hit by uninsured driver than you can file a claim on your policy and get some money for it.

Q: How to remove Maintenance Required light on 2004 Honda Accord?
My car's Maintenance Required light goes on every time it needs an oil change or maintenance. I usually take it to the dealer but it's getting too expensive. My husband wants to do an oil change at home and I was wondering how can we turn off that light. I heard you do it with the key. Does anyone know exactly how to do it? Thanks in advance.

A: Put the key in II , press and hold button on dash and should work. If not call the dealer and tell them that you just got an oil change but the mechanic forgot to turn it off.

Q: How can I find out if my 2004 Honda Accord is still under some sort of warranty?
I purchased it used, with 19700 miles. I'm hoping that the original owner has a warranty that still in effect. I'd like to know because I'm considering buying a Hondacare extended warranty and I don't want to spend any more money than I have to. Odometer reads 19700

A: You have a couple of options here and both of them will answer your question. If you know the person from whom you purchased the vehicle and they were the original owner ask them when they purchased the car (month and year) You can then count up to 36 months (3 yrs) or 36,000 miles from that date. The other option is to either give your vin # to your local dealer or run a carfax on this vehicle, either one will be able to tell you when the warranty became effective. (the date of the original sale) If there was an extended warranty purchased by the person who sold you the car then if they wish to sign it over to you it can be done with a form you send to Honda and the payment of an aquisition fee. These forms are available from Honda or at your local Honda Dealers Finance department. If you purchased this car from a dealership they will be able to give you the information you need to determine if the original warranty is still in effect and they will be able to confirm if this is a certified vehicle (you should have received papers proving it's certification.) Frequently dealers will not certify a vehicle that has exsisting warranty because it costs the dealer about $500 to Certify a car. Certification will add 12 months or 12,000 miles to an existing Factory Warranty and if this warranty is expired it will give you 12 months 12,000 miles from the day that you purchase the vehicle. If you choose to purchase an additional Warranty than do it for your own reasons not because somebody tells you it is a good or bad idea. Repairs and labor are expensive and the HondaCare Warranty will cover all the non-maintenance repairs that you would normally have to pay for, such as window motors, climate control fans, and the like. It also covers the CV Joints and Boots which are an item that frequently needs some attention in front wheel drive vehicles. This warranty is not cheap but if you are looking at it as protection from unexpected repair bills it is a good thing. Weigh your options before purchasing this and determine if it is a benifit to you or not. I know some people who purchased the extended care warranty and used the heck out of it and others that purchased it and never used it. I hope this helps If you need anythig further you are welcome to contact me and I will help you in any way I can.
